There's not enough time to make an full playable Gothic 1 Multiplayer until Christmas, but I'm sure that we have got GothicX Arena playable before Christmas.

I'm using an unsuitably compiler for this project, but it's my favorite compiler.
The binary output of my compiler (GCC/g++) is not compatible with Gothic (MSVC).
But I have a workaround... I think the next Test-Build is nearly done!

Hello! Can someone explain me how this mod works?
So from previous posts I understand that you want to inject some new C ++ code in the game. How do you do a code injection? What exactly do you require?
In sa-mp they removed some of the single player features by using the reverse engineering. Do you plan to do that too?
So what I assume that your mod will work:
You create two "things". The client and the server. Two aplications.
All the clients join the server and can receive or send information to the server.
The client receives informations from the game, like the life and all of that. He sends them to the server, who sends the informations to the other clients. The other clients sends the info to the game.
A scheme:
Gothic' -> Client1 > Server -> Client2 -> Gothic''
Where:
Client1/Client2 - Two clients who plays Gothic X
Gothic'/Gothic'' The licensed game of each user which uses the client
Server - pretty obvoius
Did what I just said is correct? I hope it is. If not, can you explain me...I really want to understand your project.

There are similar ways to inject code, like exploiting. But I'm using a "proxy-dll" to inject my code into Gothic, to avoid undesired results. In plain language the BugSlayer.dll will be replaced by the GothicX-DLL.

No, but I want to outsource some calculations to the Server, because of some vulnerabilities in client-server-systems.

The clients only send informations like actions and animations - Health, Experience, Damage and other attributes are calculated by the Server like in other online-games.

The project is @ estimated (!) 30-45%. I can't really tell =/. Maybe Zerxes can.

i`m sorry to revive such an old thread but i really wanna know whats going with the multiplayer project...they said that they were going to release it before gothic 3 , now that 2 years passed maybe they gonna release it before Arcania please
