G1 and G2 without mods writes saved games into the Saves sub-folder, for example: D:\Games\Gothic\Saves.
For a game with mods the sub-folder name for the saved games is formed from a Saves_ prefix and the name of the mod INI file. For example, if the Diccuric mod was installed, in the game folder there will be a D:\Games\Gothic\System\diccuric.ini file. Respectively, the sub-folder for the saved games of this mod will be D:\Games\Gothic\Saves_diccuric.
I can't find any INI files in the system folder, there is a saves folder but it is empty.
What i want to do is transfer the game and saves to a new computer, do you think if i just re-install gothic and copy across my Personal folders i will have the saved games?
If you have the same version of Gothic, then yes.
But if you're playing on a different version (eg previously 1.00, now 1.08k) the saves won't work due to changes in the data files and whatnot.
@ ds5400:
I repeat for the last time: G1 and G2 don't save their games in a personal user profiles. Therefore, if you have an empty Saves folder, so you have nothing to transfer. Everything is clear now, Morra?
