I know you will hate me, but I have NO TEXT IN THE MENU in the Czech version. I rewrote "Czech" to "English" in the ini files and everything was fine, but in English.
I installed community patch 1.74 on the basic version of the game (1.4.25516.1 English)

You shouldn't rewrote from "Czech" to "English" in the ini files. Czech language will be installed if there is at least the word "Czech" in the ini files and/or the OS is Czech language.
Change in the ini files back to "Czech" and install the patch again. You will only have to install the patch again - it overwrites all necessary files.
I recently updated my Gothic 3 from 1.73 cpt to 1.74. And I've had a little problem with the orcs/orc mercenaries inside and outside of Mora Sul all the way to the temple. They have hostile reaction to my presence. I may have done something wrong; but I didn't do any quests in Mora Sul until now(except the arena ones, and the temple of Al Shedim ones). Even the orc mercenary "Kirk" from Hector's pub reacts hostile. I'm sure that before, when i walked through his pub, Kirk didn't go bananas. If i attack him all the hashishi jump on me, so no rep for gonzales, so i'm stucked at the main quest.
I repeat, that this may not be a patch related problem, but i didn't recall this problem before.

Thanks for the quick reply Roi. I tried install CP 1.72 then CZ fix mod 1.5 then CP 1.74 and it helped me, but your solution will probably be faster. I just played about 30 minutes without crash and everything was fine. I had only small issues with the torch. was laggy and ceased to illuminate the surrounding area on a very short time.
ok ...i`ve played gothic only 2 or 3 times since it was released ,but now in the last years there were published these patches ! guess that i`m going to try gothic 3 again

If you have a 4xxx or 5xxx ATI card then this could happen with activated ATI workaround. Unfortunately, we couldn't solve this problem by now. But stripes (with 5xxx cards) and no shadows (both series) are fixed.
Normally it has to be ATI's business to fix this issue.

Very funny. But that's only a subtitle, no game.
I won't give any details about what we work for. There isn't anything news yet and this project isn't still fixed yet.
Thanks for the patch. I'm awed by the changelog, now Gothic 3 looks better than most games released this year, even if it's several years old.
Is it better to use that "workaround" or older version of atiumdag.dll since both fix the shadows issue?
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." - Psalm 23:1-4
